September is here, and that means campus meetings are starting up again. If you’re a U of M student, please check out these weekly meetings conveniently located on campus. They offer a great opportunity to get to know others in the community and to get involved with the outreach we do on behalf of the animals.
The other big thing coming up is the first off-campus postering session for Twin Cities Veg Fest on this coming Saturday, September 10. Please come out for that. With your help, we can really begin spreading the word about the upcoming festival.
And speaking of the festival, if you haven’t already signed up for volunteer shifts, please do so now! It’s easy to fill out the form and sign up for the things that look most fun to you.
And by the way, thank you for spreading the word about our festival fundraiser. With your help, we raised more than $6,800! That seriously surpassed our goal. We really couldn’t have done this without you, so thank you!

- September Potluck: Vegan Harvest

- Volunteer positions available:
- Carpool. Drive a few other event attendees to and from the potluck location. The meeting spot is optional. It could be the CAA Community Space at 2100 1st Avenue S in Minneapolis. 4:45 – 5:15pm and 7:45 – 8:15pm
- Setup and Greeting. Help prepare the space and welcome attendees as they arrive. 4:30 – 6:30pm
- Cleanup. Once the potluck begins to wind down, help with washing dishes and cleaning up. 6:30 – 8:30pm

- Development Committee
- Compassionate Action for Animals’ development committee cultivates individual and institutional donors and raises funds to implement our work. We are looking for volunteers who can help us sustain and develop our work to advocate for animals. If you want to help grow the animal advocacy movement, consider joining our development team.
