The summer is a quieter time with fewer volunteer opportunities, but things will surely start ramping up as we get closer to Twin Cities Veg Fest. Be on the lookout for how to get involved with that in the weeks and months to come.
One of the big things happening for us this month is the fundraiser for the festival. You can help us with that by spreading the word. Please share the link to the fundraising page and ask your friends to donate.
And you may or may not have heard yet, but Unny recently announced that he’ll be stepping down from his role as executive director in January. We certainly wish Unny the best with the transition, and we’re grateful for how he has been instrumental in cultivating our volunteer team over the past five years.
Since Unny has had a significant role in connecting our volunteers, we recognize that building relationships among our volunteers will help maintain the success of CAA beyond his departure. With this in mind, we’ll be taking this time to coordinate an opportunity for our core volunteers to get know each other better. Yesterday, we just sent an invitation to some of our volunteers asking if they’d like to participate in this new program. If you didn’t receive that email but would be interested in hearing more about it, please let me know, and I’ll send you one too.
Best wishes,
Justin Leaf, Communications & Events Coordinator
