Virtual Reality outreach at Cinco de Mayo in 2017

Want to help farmed animals? As part of Twin Cities VegWeek, attend this volunteer orientation session to learn more about effective outreach with CAA.

This orientation will prepare you to conduct both virtual reality and pay-per-view outreach at Coffman Memorial Union, Cinco de Mayo, the MayDay Festival, and the Twin Cities Pride Festival. You’ll also learn about our other volunteer positions available. You can view all of our open volunteer opportunities here.

During the meeting, you’ll get to meet other volunteers, learn more about our mission, get trained to use virtual reality, and think about what position(s) you’d most enjoy. Snacks provided!

This training will:

  • Enable you to become a stronger advocate for farmed animals
  • Connect you to other members of the animal advocacy community
  • Teach you how to use virtual reality equipment
  • Inform you about upcoming volunteering opportunities

You can invite your friend to join you using the Facebook event page.

Prior to attending the training, we recommend that you read CAA’s core values. It may also be helpful to review these frequently asked questions that you might encounter when doing outreach for CAA.

If there’s more you’d like to know, please email Laura Matanah at [email protected].

We look forward to seeing you!
