Join us for the first in this new series of Tea, Cookies, and Conversation. These gatherings are an opportunity to have fun, informative, and focused discussions about topics that are important to vegans, vegetarians, and others who are involved in the animal protection movement. This time around, we’ll be addressing the subject of How to Talk with Friends and Family.
- How do you talk to your family and friends about your dietary choices?
- What do you say when your asked why you’re vegan or vegetarian?
- How do you share your ethical beliefs without coming off as “preachy” or angry?
- Is there a place for trying to influence our loved ones to move towards a plant-based diet, and how do we do that in a respectful way?
Are there other questions related to this subject that you’d like to discuss? Let us know and we’ll include it in the conversation.
We welcome everyone along the spectrum of moving towards a plant-based diet. Whether you’re just curious, new to the path or a longtime vegan, each of us has something to learn and something to share.
This conversation will be moderated by Justin Leaf, Communications and Events Coordinator for CAA. RSVP on the Facebook event page or email Justin at [email protected]. Herbal tea and vegan cookies will be provided. If you’d like to bake a batch of vegan cookies for the event, let us know.
