Join CAA at Book Club Restaurant to enjoy their entry to the Twin Cities Vegan Chef Challenge. We’re having a dine-out to enjoy and vote on their challenge entry and take a digital action for animals! (Reserve your spot here.)

The Challenge

The challenge runs during the month of August. Competing restaurants add new vegan menu items, and diners vote to determine who of these has the best vegan dish in the Twin Cities. See the full list of participating restaurants, and find the voting form here. Be sure to tag @tcveganchefchallenge in your Instagram posts for a chance to enter to win restaurant gift cards! The voting ends at the end of day on August 31.

The Food

                      Pan-Fried Rice Noodles

We are excited that Book Club is adding a vegan main dish for the challenge: Pan-Fried Rice Noodles. The dish contains rice noodles, cubed tofu, sautéed red peppers, broccoli, and onions with a creamy curry sauce! (Allergen-wise, the dish contains soy and tree nuts.) Diners said “Solid dish. Love the creamy sauce, asparagus roasted lemon, and perfectly fried tofu. Big serving size, very substantial”, “out of this world”, and “so so so so so good!”

Other vegan dishes available at the Book Club dine-out include the local lettuces salad, the pickled vegetable plate with baguette, fried red potato salad, roasted summer vegetables, and a veganized version of the miso-roasted winter squash & brown rice bowl.

More Info

After we eat together, we will take a simple digital action on behalf of animals. Book Club is located on Penn Ave in the Armatage neighborhood of Minneapolis. Everyone is welcome at all CAA dine-outs! Look for the blue “Compassionate Action for Animals” sign to find the dine-out table. Each diner purchases their own food. Reserve your spot on TicketBud to ensure we have an accurate headcount and can all be seated.

Come enjoy the vegan food, whether you’re exploring a more plant-based diet or are just curious about the movement!
