Want to have a pizzeria-style plant-based pizza coming out of your oven?
Join Tamuno Imbu, CAA’s Community Organizer, and learn how to make awesome plant-based pizza. This will be a fun hands-on class, conducted online. (Angela Morris of Pizza Control Mpls, who orginally planned the class, is unable to lead.)
Purchase the ingredients below. You’ll be able to create this pizza just to your liking!
During the class, Tamuno will walk you through the pizza-making process step by step, sharing tips and tricks along the way. You’ll be able to ask questions or reach out for help if needed. While our pizzas bake we’ll have fun chatting and playing games. All those who purchase paid tickets will receive a PDF of the recipe after the event.
This class will be held online. Tickets are $5 for folks who are employed, free for those who are unemployed or students. You’ll get a link to the class once you’ve gotten your ticket.
Ingredients you’ll need:
- 1 Trader Joe’s refrigerated pizza dough (the original and garlic-herb are both vegan) or other refrigerated pizza dough
- 1 bottle of light-tasting olive oil
- 1 package Bobs Red Mill or another brand of semolina flour
- Pizza sauce (you can also get creative and use a vegan Alfredo, pesto, or barbecue sauce!)
- Your favorite shredded vegan cheese
- Your favorite vegan pizza toppings (vegan meats, vegetables, herbs, etc… get creative! Yes, pineapple is a pizza topping!)
Materials you’ll need:
- Cutting board or non-porous working surface (if we’re at the Wedge, this may not be needed)
- Pizza pan
- Dough docker or fork
- Pizza cutter
Paid participants will get a PDF of the instructions and recipe after the event.
