Join us for outreach at the Twin Cities Pride Festival! 🏳️🌈
At the front table, we’ll have a spin wheel game where attendees guess an answer to a question about animal agriculture (such as what percentage of chickens in the U.S. are raised in factory farms) and win a Twin Cities Veg Fest tote bag.
To passerby, we’ll also be offering one dollar to watch a five-minute video about factory farming. After people watch the video, we provide supportive, informative conversations, asking questions like “What can we do to solve this problem?”. After the conversation, we’ll also give out vegan snacks to the video participants.
The vast majority of participants express gratitude and the desire to help make a difference in farmed animals’ lives. Check our Advocacy Etiquette and Frequently Asked Questions for answers to common questions.
All are welcome to volunteer (regardless of whether you are lgbt). You can view the available positions and sign up to volunteer here!
There will be snacks (jerky, raisins, cookies) and drinks (water) available to volunteers throughout the festival. We’ll also have vegan sunscreen and bug spray on hand if they’re needed.
CAA will be at booth O42 in the orange section — in the Pet Central zone. (You can see a map of the festival here.)
