Kick off for Pilot of Monthly Food Drops at the Compassionate Action for Animals (CAA) Office

This event is a kick-off to piloting a monthly food drop for the Food Trap Initiative (FTP) at the CAA office.

The next drop-off days will be on August 26 and October 28.  They will include a chance to donate food and build community by participating in a volunteer or social activity. We are skipping September to put energy into organizing Twin Cities Veg Fest.

In November, we’ll decide whether to continue hosting them on a monthly basis.

Partnership Advances CAA’s Strategic Goals

This project moves forward the goals set for partnerships in CAA’s 2024-2027 Strategic Plan.

One of our three overarching goals is to:

“Enhance partnerships and collaborations for the well-being of all in Minnesota.

  • Partner with health groups, environmental justice groups, and animal advocacy groups
  • Focus on increasing the amount of plant-based food served in schools, making vegan options the default choice in some other settings, increasing food accessibility, and decreasing food waste
  • Act with an anti-racist, pro-equity and inclusion approach”

Learn more about the strategic plan.

Your participation as an event attendee, volunteer, and donor is critical to moving forward our work.

We look forward to seeing you at this event and others!
