6th Annual Vegan Chili Cook-Off

You probably already know. Most northern folk do. You know how it gets cold in February in Minnesota. Really cold. But you can change that, at least for one night. Come together with at least a hundred other hungry Minnesotans to sample homemade, local vegan chili recipes at our 6th Annual Vegan Chili Cook-Off. You’re sure to leave feeling warmer than when you arrived. And did we mention that it’s FREE?

Yes, it’s free. Bring friends and spend the evening sampling tasty, homemade vegan chili. Whether omnivore, vegetarian, vegan, everyone is welcome! Please RSVP and invite your friends on Facebook. This year’s event will be held at the First Unitarian Society of Minneapolis, just southwest of downtown. Check out this map for directions.

Think you have what it takes to compete in the cook-off? Bring a batch of your vegan chili and bring on the competition! Cool prizes are to be won. Check out our registration page for more contestant details and to sign up today. We also need volunteers.

Thanks to support/donations from Izzy’s Ice Cream, First Unitarian Society, Mill City Farmer’s Market, Peace CoffeeLundberg Family Farms, Beanfields, Pizza Luce, Bryant Lake Bowl, Emily von Euw (Rawsome Vegan Baking), Twin Cities Veg Fest, and Boom Island Brewery. Please support our sponsors!

Are you a U student and don’t know how to get there? Join our bus pool! Meet Summer at 6:20 pm sharp at the McDonald’s at 407 15th Avenue Southeast, Minneapolis (i.e. the Dinkytown McDonald’s) and take the bus with her. The bus is $1.75 each way. Summer’s number is (952) 715-1674 if you need to reach her.
