Minnesota Humane Lobby Day is on March 18th. Join us to get effective lobbying experience, delish coffee, treats, and lunch (all vegan) and make a difference for animals. You will have the opportunity meet with your legislators in the afternoon. One volunteer opportunity is available to table with CAA about farmed animals in the morning (and get your lunch cost covered)!
What is Humane Lobby Day?
In the morning, Compassionate Action for Animals will table with the animal community about farmed animal issues. Coffee and treats will be provided by Tried and True Confections. There will be a program of speakers and updates on bills, and after that we’ll all enjoy a vegan lunch together. At around 12:30pm, we will head over to the Capitol to talk to our representatives about current bills, encouraging them to legislate against puppy mills and mandatory wildlife killings.
What is the Schedule?
Below is the basic outline of the day.
10:00: Tabling
10:30: Program of speakers and updates on bills
11:30: Vegan lunch together
12:30: Move to the Capitol to talk with Representatives
How to Participate
Please register here to attend Humane Lobby Day and talk with your representatives on companion animal issues! It costs $10 to help cover the coffee, treats, and lunch that are included in this event.
Opportunity to Volunteer to Table for Animals
CAA needs one volunteer to help staff our table in the morning (and we’ll cover the cost of your meal)! Together, we’ll talk about our legislative work to stop the EATS Act and to support plant-based eaters in schools. You can sign up to volunteer below. We’ll give you all the information you need, and there will be materials at the table to use — all you need to bring is a friendly demeanor and a willingness to talk about farmed animals’ issues!
What’s the location and parking?
We will be meeting at 10 am in the basement of Christ Lutheran Church (ELCA), 105 University Ave W, St. Paul, MN 55103. Later in the day we will move to the capital to meet with our representatives.
Parking will be in F lot. This is located at the corner of Rice St. and Fuller Ave, with the entrance on the SE corner of Fuller Ave.
