The Twin Cities have some amazing vegan holiday offerings this year! From pies and meal kits to full dinners, local businesses are providing a wide range of plant-based options to help you create a compassionate and delicious celebration.
Our guide provides ideas for some of this season’s best vegan holiday specials. This page is a work in progress requiring group input to make it as complete and accurate as possible. The Buzz Coffee and Cafe
The Buzz’s Thanksgiving Pies and Take & Bake Cinnamon Rolls are back! Fill out the order form by 11/24/2024. Your order will be picked up in their shop in Burnsville.
French Meadow Café
Open on Thanksgiving from 7:30 AM–3:00 PM, French Meadow Café offers a special vegan Thanksgiving meal at their Lyndale location in Minneapolis. Known for their creative and wholesome dishes, this is a great option for a stress-free holiday meal. Reservations are recommended, so plan ahead to secure your spot.
HEAL MPLS
HEAL MPLS makes holiday dining simple with customizable Thanksgiving meal kits. Choose from options like Agave Candied Yams, Rich Auntie Potato Salad, Collard Greens, and Black-Eyed Peas with Okra. For dessert, enjoy Big Mama Sweet Potato Pie or another soulful treat. Kits are available for pick-up on November 26 and 27, and you can choose between ready-to-heat pans or kits that require final prep at home. Herbivorous Butcher
The Herbivorous Butcher’s Turkey-Free Feast Bundles provide everything you need for a plant-based holiday meal. These bundles include vegan turkey, gravy, and a variety of sides, such as mashed potatoes and stuffing, all crafted with their signature house-made vegan meats and cheeses. Pre-order through their website to ensure you don’t miss out on this convenient and delicious option. Their pre-order for the Winter Holiday Pack will launch on November 29th. Hex & Quill is a home-based vegan bakery located on St. Paul’s east side. While the Thanksgiving order deadline has passed, owner Angel is preparing festive pies and cookies for the December holidays. Hi Flora!
The Giving Thanks take-and-bake holiday meal from Hi Flora! offers a selection of comforting, plant-based dishes. Highlights include a Nut Cheese Platter with fruit, a Truffle Mac & Cheese Bake, and Broccoli Cheese Casserole made with creamy cashew-based sauce and fresh broccolini. Lutunji’s Palate
Lutunji’s Palate offers a holiday menu featuring vegan cakes, pastries, and sugar cookies. While the Thanksgiving deadline has passed, these delicious treats are available through December. Northern Lights Baking
Northern Lights Baking is a fully vegan baking business offering delivery within the Twin Cities area. Known for their classic pies like pumpkin, pecan, and apple, as well as unique marzipan treats, Northern Lights Baking frequently hosts pop-ups at Venn Brewing and Wooden Ship Brewing. Reverie is offering two holiday meal kits this year. The Fall Feast features a complete Thanksgiving meal for 4–6 people, including pies and seasonal sides, with pick-up available on November 27. The Winter Feast, available in December, will include sweet treats like cookies and coffee cake alongside a full meal kit. Stanley’s NE Bar Room & The Howe Daily Kitchen
Part of the Craft & Crew family, both the Stanley’s NE Bar Room and The Howe Daily Kitchen will be open on Thanksgiving Day from 11 AM–4 PM. Tullibee
Located in the Hewing Hotel, Tullibee is hosting a family-style vegan Thanksgiving dinner for $65 per person on November 28. This multi-course meal features shared starters, seasonal sides, mains, and desserts, all served in an elegant setting. Vegan Holiday Makers Market
The Vegan Holiday Makers Market will be on December 14 from 4–7 PM at the Legacy Building, Minneapolis This collaborative event features local vegan bakers, artisans, and small businesses. Offerings include food, gifts, and goods ranging from cheese-stuffed pretzels and sweets to jewelry and handmade beauty products. The market also includes a vegan food drive for Flourish Market, Minnesota’s plant-based food shelf. Admission is free — come and support the local vegan community!
Compassionate Action for Animals (CAA) Events
ThanksLiving Celebration
Celebrate the season with CAA’s ThanksLiving Vegan Potluck on Saturday, November 23, at Matthews Park in south Minneapolis. The event runs from 2–4 PM and is open to everyone, with no admission fee. Attendees are encouraged to bring a vegan dish to share, making this the perfect opportunity to enjoy great food while meeting others who share your values. Arrive early for the best selection!
Duluth Vegan Cooking Group
The Duluth Vegan Cooking Group’s monthly vegan potluck on November 21 has a Friendsgiving theme. Join them to enjoy tasty plant-based versions of Thanksgiving foods while making new friends. The monthly potluck in December will have a holiday theme as well.
West Suburbs Vegan Potluck
On Thursday, December 12, from 6:30–8 PM, join the West Suburbs Vegan Potluck at Unmapped Brewing Co. in Minnetonka. The theme for December is Holiday Favorites, so bring your go-to plant-based holiday dish to share.
