Andrew Hamilton joins the board of CAA with a big heart for animals. He’s been a dedicated volunteer and board member at the Animal Rights Coalition for over fifteen years, where he’s led vegan cooking classes, hosted waffle parties, and organized nearly one hundred Meetups at all-vegan restaurants.
By day, Andrew is a public school teacher in the city, and during his winter, spring, and summer breaks, he loves exploring museums, visiting gay bars, and trying out all-vegan eateries. He shares his home with a happy senior rescue dog and lives in Minnetonka.
Andrew’s primary goal is to help animals, and he believes that working with a diverse group of compassionate individuals, like CAA, is the best way to do it. He is also a donor to CAA as he has long admired our effectiveness.
He’s impressed by CAA’s achievements, and has attended nearly every Vegfest, including the very first one at Coffman Memorial Union. Andrew hopes to see CAA continue to strengthen its inclusive leadership and grow through diversity, staying true to a non-judgmental, non-violent philosophy.
Andrew is skilled at fundraising and has recruited vendors for outdoor festivals, helped plan fundraisers, volunteered at events, and secured individual donations for non-profits. He’s eager to assist CAA in finding new ways to raise funds.
Join us in welcoming Andrew to the CAA board! We are lucky to have him.
