Feeling stuck at home? We understand! Join us for a chance to “breathe free.”
We know it can be hard to meet people and share interests with others during these trying times — but at CAA’s upcoming banquet, it will be a breeze! We have a variety of activities planned to help you get on your feet, have fun, and connect with CAA’s growing community.
Three speakers from CAA’s board and volunteers will tell stories about the impact of CAA’s programs throughout the event. Between speeches, you’ll have the opportunity to join small groups to discuss the stories and your own personal CAA experiences with fellow attendees. Then, you’ll have the chance to engage in a friendly trivia competition inspired by the “Breathing Free” theme.
Finally, we will celebrate a year of work for the animals by listening and dancing to music. As part of the musical offerings, Minnesota violinist and animal advocate, Shawn Vougeot, will perform live during the event.
Here’s what attendees from last year’s banquet had to say:
“I loved the talk intermingled with fun. Great speakers and loved the diversity.” – Theresa Z.
“Being able to be part of a fun event that supports CAA and to find community, some laughs (dancing—yes!) with other compassionate people, during this ‘strange’ time in our world was very uplifting.” – Cari L.
“All of it was great! I liked the speakers and the food; the breaks helped make the online format work.” – Lillie G.
Breathing Free: CAA’s 23rd Annual Banquet with Sicilian Dinner will take place on Saturday, March 20, 2021, at 6 pm on Zoom. Find more information about the event here.
