As you may have heard, after five years of dedicated service, Unny Nambudiripad is moving on from his post as executive director at Compassionate Action for Animals. We wish him well on his continuing journey and look forward to appointing a highly qualified individual who can carry on this important position, overseeing all facets of our organization and providing inspiring and effective leadership.
Compassionate Action for Animals (CAA) is a nationally-recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Our mission is to encourage people to cultivate empathy for animals and move toward a plant-based diet. We do this through a combination of outreach, education, and community building. Our programs are implemented by volunteers with the support of three staff members.
Key responsibilities of the executive director include fundraising through individual donor development and management of a diverse team of staff and volunteers. We are looking for a friendly and outgoing individual who is prepared to take CAA into the future, maximizing our impact in the field of farmed animal advocacy for the Twin Cities region.
Applications are being accepted through September 26, 2016. Interviews will be scheduled with select applicants. A final decision will be made by October 17, and the new position will begin December 1, allowing for a one-month training period alongside the outgoing executive director.
