Petition: Stop the Construction of Factory Farms in Minnesota
We are calling for a moratorium on new factory farm construction and expansion in Minnesota.  Here's why:

*Factory farms pollute our environment, with manure and runoff contaminating Minnesota's waterways and lakes.

*Factory farms confine animals in tiny quarters, causing immense suffering and leaving them vulnerable to tragedies like the fire that killed nearly 200,000 chickens in a single barn in 2022.

*Factory farms and industrial slaughterhouses exploit vulnerable workers, like the Worthington and Marshall children found working in a meatpacking plant in 2022. 


Your response will be shared with Minnesota legislators.

The White Earth Nation recently passed a ban on their land, which covers part of north-central Minnesota.

I urge you to follow the lead of the White Earth Nation and ban the construction and expansion of factory farms across our state.
